Oh we do get some strange looks, waltzing into the local bar or pub and saying, hi would you like one of our massages today?
It's funny there is this look that some people have, a polite tight lipped smile, averting the eyes, head slightly lowers, before they say no thank you.
And then... someone across from them says YEAH!! I'll have one, that sounds amazing.
Guaranteed after that it changes, the person who initially was trying to avoid eye contact, is now doing everything to try and get our attetion, looking to see what's going on.
They see the obvious pleasure of the reciever and they're thinking, that looks really good, I want one, but I'm too embarassed to ask.
We might torture that person for a while and leave them to last (just to proove a point) but we will come back, we know people need us. That's why we're there! They just don't know it yet, or how much.
So don't be embarrased, or shy, we never take it personally.

Wonderful Weekend
Family....
Sometimes with our fast paced lifestyles, we can forget just how important our loved ones are too us.
This weekend I really thought about the values that we uphold as an organisation and brought it home.
Lovely to spend time with my aunty after she had her wisdom teeth removed. Turned what could have been a really scary, lonely scenario, into a weekend to remember. (in a good way)
Also managed to squeeze some time in with friends, move house and, get a bit of work done.
All in all a good weekend I'd say...

Pura Touch at the Red Ochre Party
Pura Touch provided massages for the guests at Red Ochre's Christmas party and what a sucess. Everyone really enjoyed and felt it was a nice touch. (No pun intended)
We're really making progress, we're getting more and more referals from happy customers which is great. And we're always trying to do things to further improve our service.
Thank you to everyone that left such lovely comments - made us blush back here at the office. We're happy to know that we can still make you guys feel good.
Big Hugs

short massages - do they really help back pain?
According to research conducted by warwick university, studies have shown that having short massages lasting for 15 minutes for regular intervals of 3 times per week in comparison to just relaxing for the same amount of time significantly improves back pain. Trials were done over a 6 week period and those having massage experienced long term relief and marked a significant reduction in pain and increased flexibility.

Ad- belts - the future of advertising
We are excited to discover a fantastic way of marketing our product to our target audiences. Never been done before anywhere in the world, the new ad-belt concept is amazing. Learn more : www. ad-belts.com.
Starting of as a pilot in the exclusive city club health clubs. Our logo and message will be advertised on the treadmills. We're all really excited and looking forward to working alongside the brains behind the operation anapick - www.anapicks.com.
From our meeting at T. Harv Eker's Millionaire Mind Intensive the other week, we have been delighted to work with them, discussing ideas and potential marketing strategies for ourselves.
The seminar was great, we networked with so many successful people from different backgrounds that are able to assist us in making our business better.
For anyone that missed it, keep updated with future events on www.milionairemind.com. Also keep posted on this blog, as we may have access to free tickets for events and similar ones in the future.

Bartering is Back
In times of crisis, we have to resort to our old methods of getting what we need, good old bartering, trade for trade. Such a great way to exchange products and services. So far we've managed to get excellent discounts as well as products with our bartering banter. So if your a business, we'd be happy to negotiate something with you! Plus if you need a barter pro, we'd also be happy to help you barter your way too!

deep tissue massage cures insomnia
Been awake for over 72 hours and a combination of deep tissue massage and a trip to the sauna and steam room, conquered my apparent insmnia.
yes! us massage therapists have our random moments too. That's why we understand when you call us on a sunday afternoon, still in bed at 3pm calling us round for an energising massage' or just' ' something to make me feel alive again'

social enterprise london
For any up and coming business, particulary those with a social impact as part of their core mission. (Hence the term social enterprize)
Social enterprise london is the place to be. Find them on www.sel.org.uk
We went to an event that they held at the Business Design centre in Angel on Monday and it was amazing. They had a wide range of speakers from different types of business's and they had lots of tips and techniques that would help any business.
I particulary was inspired by Charlotte Borger from Divine Chocolate ( or was it just the chocolate, mmm?) the story of how the company started and the fact that 45% of the business is owned by cocoa farmers in ghana and the amazing opportunity that the association has provided for them, and to think in the beginning people said 'it would never work...sounds all to familiar' you can check out the wonderful things divine are doing at www.divinechocoltate.com
And Sam connif from livity was hilarious, his tales of the highs and lows of an entrepreneur left us all in stitches and wondering if we all were truly quite mad for embarking on this daring venture. I hadn't realised that livity was connected to live magazine, which I happen to read and did some journalism courses with them in the past. Shout out team live.
check out come of their interesting newsletters here:

All in all it was a great event, the venue, was cool, the food was delicious and It was even sweeter seeing as I had to sneak my way in, but don't tell anyone will you.

Southend Beauty and Body show
A massive shout out to all of our new friends in essex.
We had a really great time at the southend beaty show last weekend. Everyone was really chilled out ( courtesy of our fabulous massages of course!)
Treatment of the day was definitely the foot massage, ( guys this may be the secret to an essex's girls heart...)
And of course a massive HUG to Team Touch who once again for providing a fabulous service with a smile, right to the end (even when that lovely lady came for one last foot rub, after we'd packed up ALL our gear)
We will definitely be visiting again in the near future.
Til then :-)
